So lately, I’ve been reading a lot of stories in the press, mainly because TJ is on the Voice and the fact he’s bringing out a new album. The thing that needles me is that every single one of them always start off by calling him ‘the Welsh Crooner’… Really? Because for someone who has spent many years copying and re creating his style etc, the last thing he is to me is a crooner,… someone who sings soft ballads, now if it was say, Engelbert or Daniel ODonnell I would say yes they are crooners, Perry Como but not Tom Jones, he’s a belter, his songs are big, loud, massive crescendo endings, energy, power all the things that crooners don’t have!… right, I feel better now!
